John Pitcher is board chairman and cheerleader-in-chief of the Monthaven Arts and Cultural Center. When he’s not admiring the terrific art inside Monthaven Mansion, you can find him playing piano, readings the works of William Faulkner and Gabriel García Márquez, eating insanely hot vindaloo, cheering for his hometown Washington Redskins, and spending time with his wife Jenny, sons Jonah and Austin, and dog Jasper. He is a graduate of Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism in New York City and teaches arts journalism at Vanderbilt University.
