Nancy Lee Andrews, International Photographer

Former Ford model turned international photographer Nancy Lee Andrews spent her early educational days, as she refers to them, in front of the camera.   She became more interested in clicking the shutter rather than being the subject.  One day while working for Milton Green and asking too many questions about photography, he handed her a camera and showed her how to load film and told her to go out and shoot and bring the film back.  That was the beginning of a life-long love affair with the camera.

A Dose of Rock ‘n’ Roll, a coffee table book, reveals the intimate access to music royalty that was accorded to Nancy Lee Andrews while she was engaged to Ringo Starr for six years.  The photographs, beginning in 1970, present assorted iconic images that have become an historical imprint of that era.  Among legendary names pictured in this compilation besides Ringo are John Lennon, George Harrison, Keith Moon, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, and Gregg Allman, to name a few.  Currently, her photographs can be seen for the cover of Billy Ray Cyrus memoir, Hillbilly Heart, for Amazon. Also, her work can be seen on the cover of Ruth Pointer’s memoir, I’m Still Excited.

The Tennessee State Museum originated her exhibition in the summer of 2008, A Dose of Rock ‘n’ Roll and a Pinch of Country Since than she has produced many gallery presentations in New York City, SoHo, Long Island, Atlanta, Phoenix, Tulsa, and Sea Bright, New Jersey.   She garnered great success with her gallery exhibit in Hamburg, Germany.  She is presently the Publication Director for the Tennessee State Museum for their epic book, The Civil War Flags of Tennessee, due in Fall of 2018.

Paige Brown, Gallatin City Mayor

Paige Brown is the 62nd Mayor of Gallatin, Tennessee. Since January 2015, she has been passionately serving more than 35,000 residents of the city where she was born and raised. She brings the values of faith and kindness while working constructively with her colleagues, local business, and community leaders to advance practical, forward-thinking solutions to pressing city issues.

A graduate of Gallatin High School and honors graduate of Florida State University, she worked as a news reporter and anchor in Florida. Upon her return to Tennessee, she worked for several shows on The Nashville Network in various roles including reporter, producer, and talent. She then worked 11 years for NewsChannel 5 in Nashville, Tennessee. While producing breaking news in 2005, Brown witnessed the devastation of tornadoes that ripped through parts of her native city. That event helped cement her desire to find a way to serve Gallatin more directly. In 2006, she became the Executive Director of the Gallatin Area Chamber of Commerce. Under her leadership, the Gallatin Chamber increased membership and member participation, established numerous new events and created innovative marketing and networking opportunities.

In 2010, she was elected as a Sumner County Commissioner representing the 6th District, an office she held for four years until running for Mayor of Gallatin in 2014.

Mayor Brown currently represents Gallatin as a member of the Metropolitan Planning Organization, Regional Transit Authority, Mayor’s Caucus, and Treasurer of the Greater Nashville Regional Council.

One of the mayor’s best-loved accomplishments can be found on the cover of November’s Reader’s Digest, where Gallatin was named the “Nicest Place in America.” The special edition highlighted Gallatin as an epicenter of community spirit and trust and was distributed to millions of readers all over the world.

Brown is an advocate for oncology research. She served six years on the Board of Governors for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and served three terms as a Food & Drug Oncology Drug Advisory Committee Patient Representative. She has been featured in stories for Glamour Magazine, PBS, and local news has addressed groups around the world, and has lobbied for healthcare related legislation in Washington.

Nina Covington, Artist, Activist

Nina Covington is a Nashville based artist, activist, and provocateur. She has always known that it was her job to tell stories. She started out as a model who told stories in front of the camera of others. A pivotal moment came when Nina realized she can only tell half of the story as a model; the photographer always tells the other half. Nina began wanting more control, so she began taking self-portraits which eventually led her to photograph other people.

In all of Nina’s work, she gets down to basics. Her images are stripped down, honest, and dark. From her fine art equestrian photography to her long exposures, she plays in the shadows. Nina’s work is cohesive, as each detail in the execution of her photographs adds to the story she’s telling.  Most importantly, she uses her work to give voice to those who step in front of her camera and bring to light social issues and injustices.

Norma Tillman, Author, Private Investigator

Norma Mott Tillman is a Native Nashvillian who grew up in East Nashville, attended East High School, Vol State College, Nashville Tech, Watkins Institute, and the Metro Police Academy.

Her background includes working with law enforcement, and being a real estate agent, private investigator, author, and professional speaker.

Kathleen Hawkins, CEO Hendersonville Chamber of Commerce

Kathleen Hawkins was born in Ohio but considers herself a Florida native. She is an accomplished business consultant, public speaker, and nine times published author. In 2007, she founded the first chapter of Women on a Mission to Earn a Commission (WOAMTEC), in Heathrow, Florida. WOAMTEC, which has a philosophy of helping women promote and grow their businesses while maintaining their priorities of faith, family, and career, has grown rapidly to include more than 71 chapters and over 2,000 members in 15 states.

Previously, Kathleen taught marketing and business courses at Florida Metropolitan University where she also received her bachelor’s degree as well as her MBA.  Her essays have been published in numerous lifestyle, business, and photography journals.  In addition, she is a three-time first place winner of PPA’s AN-NE Award for Marketing Excellence.

Personally, Hawkins is a licensed foster parent and adoptive mother of three. She and her husband Jeff are strong advocates of adoption and in 2007 were awarded the Volunteer of the Year Award by the Florida Coalition for Children. She served as a committee member of The Governor’s Faith Based Initiative Committee Work Group for Child Advocacy. In 2009, she was accepted as a member of the Compassion Florida Roundtable for the Governor’s Volunteer Florida Foundation.

Pastor Linda Hilliard, Pastor of Stewardship, and Development; Memorial Gardens Director at Christ Church Nashville

As a minister at Christ Church, Linda has always been a person who values communities and building strong relationships with everyone she meets. As a Pastor of Stewardship and Development; Memorial Gardens Director. Linda has received, certifications in Church Administration, Principles, and Techniques of Fundraising, Planned Giving, and Major Gifts. She also serves on the board for Lighthouse Christian School and the Southeast Nashville Recover Group.

Linda is married to Wayne Hilliard. When she is not at Christ Church, you are likely to find her hosting parties, cooking, gardening, or studying a fashion design.

Dr. Lois Jordan, Educator & Political Leader

Dr. Lois Jordan is an educator, political leader, guest speaker for several local organizations and a child of The Living God.  Born and reared in a low social economic community; arrived at political gain, by being the first female in the city of Nashville to be elected. Also, being the first Afro American female and other females in the history of that city and state.  When she served she was the only female out of 39 men. Her biography appears in several publications, 2000 Women of Achievement, Personalities of the South, Noble Americans of the Bicentennial Era, Community Leaders, and Noble Americans.

Dr. Jordan has paved the way for females entering the political arena. The Nashville Tennessean most recently called her Lady Jordan; because she wore a hat, gloves and pearls and she embraced the distinction.  Dr. Jordan is a member of Rotary International, Board Member of the Nashville Ballet, the Nashville Opera Association, Director of Development of Monthaven Art, and Culture Center. Her biography appears in The Two Thousand Women of Achievement; Community Leaders of Notable Americans; Personality of the South and Notable Americans of the Bicentennial Era.

She sings in the Hendersonville Baptist Church choir with the leadership of the renowned Greg Crane, known Director of the state of Florida and Alabama.

Dr. Jordan has served as an adjunct professor for Belmont and Fisk University and Social Studies Educator for Metropolitan Public Schools. She is a firm believer that today’s youth should have great mentors to develop into tomorrow’s leadership.

Connie Maynord, Dietician, Actor/Model

Connie Maynord is a University of Tennessee graduate with her career as a School & Hospital Dietician. She now enjoys her “Baby Boomer Career” as an Actor, Model, and Voice-over Actor. She has appeared in several feature films, commercials, music videos, and TV shows-she was Will Lexington’s Mom on TV show. Nashville & spent her day in a casket! Her latest TV commercial is with BlueCross/BlueShield of TN. The is also the Kentucky Lady Voice-over for the “National Toyota TV commercial.” Connie is proud to be the 2015”-1^st Runner-up Ms. Tennessee Senior Pageants.” She serves on the boards of Newcomers and Holidayfest of Sumner County. You may also see her as a Christmas Elf, in a Hallmark photo frame, MORE magazine model, and from age 19 modeling Bridal wear to now modeling mom or Grandmother! She has two handsome grown sons and two lovely step-daughters. After traveling to 35+ states, homes in 5 and following her husband, Chris to Russia &China, they are now enjoying their retirement home at Millstone in Hendersonville.

State Representative Courtney Rogers

Lt. Col Courtney Rogers, retired from 28 years of military service, where she served on active duty as a Targeting Officer and Nuclear advisor aboard the EC-135 Looking Glass and was the first Targeting Officer on the ground during Operation Just Cause in Panama against then dictator Manuel Noriega.  Her final assignment was with the TN Air National Guard as the Inspector General for the 118^th Air Wing here in Nashville.

These days she serves as the State Representative for District 45 and as the Director of Recruiting for the Tennessee State Guard – dedicated to supporting disaster response operations when they occur in our state. She and her husband Mike have three children and reside in Sumner County.

Kellen Rogers, Honor Student, Model

Kellen Anne Rogers, daughter of Mike and Courtney Rogers is a sophomore at Beech High School.  She has done numerous charity runway events for Dillards, Belk, and Chicos.  She is an honor student and dances on the Beech Elite Dance Team and studies both ballet and hip-hop.  She keeps busy during her off time taking care of 5 goats and practicing her driving skills for her upcoming driving test.

Lois Riggins-Ezzell, Director Emeritus of the Tennessee State Museum

A native Nashvillian, Lois Riggins-Ezzell served as the Executive Director of the TN State Museum for 36 years. Her career spanned 7 Governors with her first position being Curator of the State Capital under Governor Winfield Dunn and retiring during the Governorship of Bill Haslam. Currently, she is the Director Emeritus of the TN State Museum which will open it’s new $160,000,000 facility in the Fall of 2018.

During her prestigious career, she has been honored with numerous awards, her most treasured being the National Sabbatical Recipient at George Washington University in Museology. She is still very active in the art community and is enjoying taking on special projects close to her heart that she feels have an impact on her beloved Tennessee and it’s citizens.

Stefaney is a Nashville native and fashion stylist, specializing in men’s wear. Stefaney has worked back of house for Nashville Fashion Week since 2015. She shares the title of Director of Volunteer Services for Nashville Fashion Alliance with Nica Woodard.
