In 2021 the Tennessee Watercolor Society (TnWS) celebrated 50 years of impacting the Visual Arts community statewide. TnWS has benefitted the Arts and Culture of Tennessee through watermedia exhibitions, programming, outreach and educational opportunities. Their Mission is to elevate the stature of watercolor and to educate the public to the significance of watercolor and all watermedia on paper as important, creative, and permanent painting mediums. Our programs, workshops, exhibits (competitive and non-competitive) further the interest of watermedia painters, building community while supporting all the visual arts.
