HOME. HEART. HERITAGE. is a project undertaken by Monthaven Arts and Cultural Center to honor and celebrate Black History Month in conjunction with a relevant exhibit. Completed over the course of several years, the project consists of five quilts honoring Black Americans who have impacted the story of our great country. In our free workshops open to those of all ages, genders and races, our community came together to learn about these noteworthy individuals and create and decorate pieces that would later become the quilt. In 2024, the quilts will become a touring show going to schools, universities, libraries, etc.
On exhibit January 21st – February 19th.
