Go West Young Man: Western Frontier Couture of Manuel

Join us for a very special journey to The Western Frontier featuring the couture fashions of style icon, Manuel.

MANUEL
Known as the “Stylist to the Stars”, Manuel’s signature designs are known worldwide for their elaborate, rhinestone embellishments which have covered the rich and famous for dozens of years. From artists to musicians including, Salvador Dali, Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, Marty Stuart, and Dwight Yoakam Manuel’s styles have awed audiences and fans across the world!

The western inspiration continues with dynamic, vintage Western art of Mark Hobley and beaded animal skull art sculptures of Maria D’Souza and iconic Western movie posters from Booth Western Museum.

MARK HOBLEY
Inspired by the vintage west, Hobley’s work has been aptly described as cultural samplers that convey the primitive as well as the pixel. The painting’s poetry is buckshot storytelling … it aims at no one but hits us all.

MARIA D’SOUZA
Maria D’Souza combines design, color, and dimension to create pieces that stylistically range from western to contemporary. Her beaded skull art is unique in that Maria does not view the form of the skull as a canvas that she is bound to. She views it more as a frame to create within. She uses semi-precious cabochons, seed beads, hand-tooled silver, patina copper, exotic leathers, and other materials to create patterns of symmetry, depth, and motion.
