This special exhibition showcases more than 100 engravings, etchings and woodcuts——created by Rembrandt, Goya and Dürer——three of art history’s most celebrated masters of these complex mediums.
The artworks, on loan from the Park West Museum, Southfield, MI, have been drawn from the Museum’s extensive collection of works on paper. Featured themes from the oeuvres of the three masters include: portraits, depictions of famous biblical stories, philosophical themes, and societal commentary, as well as several of the self-portraits for which Rembrandt was quite well-known.
